WILLIAM was born in Detroit on November 14, 1944 to the late Edwin and Mary (nee Norman) Wolff. He died suddenly on December 4, 2014 just a couple of weeks after his 70th birthday.
A graduate of Cass Technical High School, he received a B.A. at the University of Michigan in 1966, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration, also from U-M in December, 1967.
Bill was a well-loved teacher for the Ann Arbor Public Schools from January, 1969 until retirement in June, 2001. For many years, his love of educating saw him also serving as an adjunct professor of Humanities at the Washtenaw Community College.
He volunteered with so many organizations, and will be remembered by hundreds of people whose lives he touched.
Bill is the dear brother of Richard (Marilyn), Margaret (Carl) Peltier, Charles, Robert (Kathy), and the late Edwin, Molly, John, and James. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 7th from 12 Noon to 9 p.m., and Monday, December 8th from 2 -8 p.m. Monday's visiting will begin with a prayer service at 2 PM. Bill leaves this world with gratitude to God, and to his dear family and friends, in the hope of resurrection to eternal life.
