Obituary

Ugo Pasquali, of Livonia Michigan, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Ugo was born on July 20, 1934 in San Marino, Italy, to Simone and Giovanna Pasquali. Ugo immigrated from Italy as a teenager, settled in Michigan and built a life with his own two hands as a brick mason. Over the years he worked on many buildings in the community, including the homes he proudly built for his own family and for many relatives - homes that still stand today as quiet reminders of his craft, generosity and the life he built in America. Ugo met his wife Teresa, and they were married on October 12, 1957. Together they built a home and were blessed with four daughters, Adele, Joanna, Maria and Tina.

Ugo was known to many as a hardworking and dedicated husband, father, brother and proud Nonno. He had a true zest for life and treasured time spent with family and friends. His daughters fondly remember the many late nights when they would have to drag him home singing, after hours of playing cards with extended family and friends. As the years progressed, Ugo traded card nights out for card nights at home with his daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren, playing rounds of euchre after boisterous family dinners. He was always known to have a trick or two up his sleeve and had a bit of a competitive streak! Around town, Ugo was a familiar face, fondly known as a “regular” at Meijer (where all the ladies loved him!) and a faithful parishioner at St. Priscilla Catholic Church.

Ugo leaves behind his four daughters, Adele Hamel (Mark), Joann Harper (James), Maria Estep (Luie Miller), and Tina Pasquali (Ryan Stewart). Ugo will be remembered as Nonno to his six grandchildren, Jason (Tiffany), Jessica (Jared), Jaclyn, Jimmy (Tawny), Shawn, and Kristina (Nic). Ugo was also a great grandfather to Joseph, Jonathon, Sophia, Ava, Ella, Olivia, James, Raymond, Alannah, Adalynn, Lorenzo, and Abella. He also leaves behind his brother, Primo (Maryann) Pasquali, and many extended family members.

Ugo was predeceased by his beloved wife of 65 years, Teresa. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Simone and Giovanna, and by his siblings, Louisa Pasquali, Flora (Odilio) Cavazza and Maria (Leo) Amici.

Ugo will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 2:00 - 7:00 pm at Manns Family Funeral Home, with a rosary service at 5:30 pm. The funeral mass will on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Priscilla Catholic Church in Livonia, Michigan (9:30 am in state).
