Obituary

Thomas "Tom" Charles Blasco, 63 of Westland, Michigan passed away on September 2, 2026.

Tom was born in Detroit, Michigan, the 4th of 5 children of Charles and Sandra Blasco.

Tom spent his early adulthood working alongside his father, Chuck, at his collision shop where he worked as a body repairman, mechanic, and tow truck driver. He honed his bodywork skills and became an excellent mechanic - skills that ultimately helped lead him to a nearly 30-year career as an over-the-road truck driver.

Tom enjoyed snowmobiling, playing pool, and golf. Tom was a very good golfer and enthusiastically shared his love of the game with friends and family. He was also known to be extremely patient helping others improve their games with instructions and tips.

Tom is survived by his sons, Scott (Jasmine), Christopher (Taylor), and Austin; one grandson, Gavin; his sisters, Cindy (Alex) Baranyk, Julie (Mike) Scherrer, and brother, Keith, as well as many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Ragnoli (by just 55 days), as well as his parents, Chuck and Sandy, and brother-in-law, Scott Hermansen.

Final arrangements provided by Manns Family Funeral Home. Private services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tom’s name to: Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka KS 66675-8516 or Michigan Lupus Foundation, PO Box 128, Traverse City, MI 49685
