Therese Cecelia Scharbach

Therese Scharbach, 97, formerly of Livonia, MI passed peacefully on February 4th, 2023 with several family members by her side. Therese was born in Riversdale, Ontario, Canada to Stephen and Helen Scharbach.

Therese worked as a teacher in Canada and the United States in early elementary education, primarily at Grant Elementary School in Livonia. She obtained her Master’s of Education from Eastern Michigan University.
Therese was also actively involved in the Silver Liners choir at St Genevieve Church and volunteered for 20 years at Angela Hospice in Livonia.

Therese never had children of her own but was a very special aunt to all her nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. Therese was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by the Lewis, Murray, O’Connor and Scharbach families. She also touched the lives of the many children she taught over the years.

Therese is preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 7th at Manns Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt Rd, Livonia, MI from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 8th at St Genevieve Church, 29015 Jamison St, Livonia, MI at 11:00 am, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM.
