Obituary

Theresa Marie Lee Crorey, 72, of Livonia, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026.

Born on April 18, 1954, in Livonia to Edward and Mary McCarville, Theresa was the youngest of ten children. She graduated from Clarenceville High School and later earned her associate degree from Schoolcraft College.

Theresa and William Crorey were married from 1977 to 1994 and raised their daughters, Megan and Bridget, in Oregon. Theresa worked as an administrative assistant for the Public Employees Retirement System, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.

Theresa found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. She loved spending time with her large family, reading, learning about history, and “puttering around” at home. She was an incredible cook whose macaroni and cheese and homemade cookies became favorites at family gatherings. She was also affectionately known as the family’s “container queen,” always organizing and finding the perfect place for everything. Friends and family will remember her as someone who was always beautifully dressed and often the life of the party.

Above all, Theresa’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her daughters, Megan and Bridget (Josh) West; and her beloved grandson, Tucker. She is also survived by her siblings, Monica (Carl) Nelson, Michael (Terry) McCarville, Patricia (John) Candiloro, and Bill McCarville, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who loved her deeply.

Theresa was preceded in death by her siblings, Nancy McCarville (Charles "Skip") Buckley, MaryAnn McCarville (Thomas "Tom") Quisenberry, Roger (Doris) McCarville, Kenneth McCarville, and Thomas McCarville.

She will be remembered for her warmth, humor, resilience, and the deep love she gave so freely to those around her. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but the memories she created with family and friends will remain forever treasured.
