Sofia Karpiuk

Sofia Karpiuk - 1923 - 2019   She was 95 years old and lived in Redford, Michigan. She passed away on 4-26-2019.    She was born in Remenow, Ukraine, to Elia Wychopen, her father and Anna Melnik, her mother.    Sofia met and married her husband Theodore Karpiuk, in June of 1946, They were married for 57 years until his death.    Some of the things that she enjoyed were, dancing, sewing, cross stitching, gardening, and singing in a choir. She had a warm caring heart and a sense of humor which blessed her with many friends to which she also enjoyed.    She is survived by Aleksandra Bilak (Wasyl "Bill"), Mary Lashbrook (James), Helen Robinson (Robert), and William Karpiuk.    Grand Children: Mathew Lashbrook, Jessica Bissa, Margaret McClain, Lesia Jansen, Mike Bilak, and Adam Robinson.    She will be missed by all those whose heart she touched.    Visitation for Sofia will be held Monday, April 29th from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154.
