Ruth Elizabeth "Lambie" Mcintyre

Ruth E. (Kendrick) McIntyre, 92, passed away on December 3, 2019. She was born in Detroit on September 3, 1927 to Gavin and Catherine Lambie.   Ruth married Charles Kendrick on June 2, 1951. They were married for 28 years before Chuck’s passing in 1979.   Ruth married Donald McIntyre, Jr on April 10, 1999. Before Don’s passing in 2001 – Ruth and He enjoyed many years together enjoying their cottage in Traverse City, traveling and adoring their grandchildren.   She was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine for over 50 years and was also a member of the Daughters of the Nile. Ruth also served as a volunteer at Angela Hospice for 20 years.   Ruth is survived by her loving family, Paul Kendrick, Laurie (Robert) Failing, Don (Deb) McIntyre, Nancy (William) Brosene, Jim (GiGi) McIntyre; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her husbands; her sisters, Anne Steele and Josephine Tilden; sister-in-law, Beverly Kelly.   Visitation for Ruth will be held Friday, December 6, 2019 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154.   Ruth will be In-State for Final Visiting on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Mt. Hope Congregational Church, 30330 Schoolcraft, Livonia 48150.   Memorial donations in memory of Ruth may be made to Angela Hospice or Mt. Hope Congregational Church.
