Ronald John Horstead

In Memory of a life so beautifully lived, A heart so loved deeply. Ronald J Horstead, 83 of Canton, Michigan passed away peacefully on June 22nd, 2025, at St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. Ron was born in Detroit, MI on October 3rd, 1941, to John and Monica Horstead. 

Ron and Alice were married on November 30th 1961. They were happily married for 61 years. 

Ron was a tool maker his entire life. He loved his job and worked extremely hard to provide a wonderful life for his family. Ron was beloved by his family, friends and most of all his wife, Alice. Ron is fondly remembered by his son, Rick (Mary) Horstead and daughter, Leeann (Eric) Retting; grandchildren, Tyler, Mitchel (Hannah), Joshua (Paige), Becky (Rob), Elizabeth (Steve); great grandchildren, Adalyn, Otis, Jack and Adam and other family and friends. 

A private memorial service and burial will take place on Friday, September 12th. There will be a small private ceremony including visitation and celebration of life at Manns Family Funeral Home from 10:00 am to Noon with the burial at 12:30 at Glen Eden Cemetery.
