Robert passed away Monday September 27th at his home in Livonia. He graduated from Bentley High School in 1967 and went on to Michigan State for the next five years, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Packing Engineering. Robert started his list of careers with owning a Doonbuggie company and made fiberglass bodies. Retired from the Budd Company and recently retired as a business owner from Atomic Cleaning Systems. Robert grew up and made his home in Livonia where he designed his dream house Robert was a member of the Powerhouse Engineering Society and a 3rd Degree Master Mason with the Livonia Lodge #152. Robert was a magician, as he loved magic, he was also a hypnotist. He was a man of many trades and accomplishments. He was loved by all and very respected in the community. Robert is survived by his beloved wife Jenise; brother Eric Thompson and sister Deborah Thompson. Also his step daughter Crystal Hochberg, nephews: Nikolaos, Kolton, and Dimo Kazakos, and Jonathon Thompson; and nieces Alexandra Kazakos-Ballard and Kimberly Thompson. Robert was the loving son of the late Robert and Bernice Thompson. Visitation for Robert will be held Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM with a Masonic Service at 7:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154. The funeral service will be held Monday, October 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Manns Family Funeral Home followed by a Graveside Committal Service at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, 34205 Five Mile, Livonia, 48154.
