Robert Joseph Gress

Robert (Bob) Joseph Gress, 79 of Livonia Michigan, passed away on February 26, 2018. He is the beloved husband of Susan Lee Gress and they shared 54 years of marriage together.   Bob was born in Alpena Michigan on June 2, 1938. He was the son of Clarence and Alice Gress and the 2nd oldest of 9 siblings.  He attended Southfield High School and Served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960.  After being honorably discharged from the service he worked as a carpenter for over 25 years.   He loved hunting, fishing and enjoyed following all of Michigan sports teams (Lions excluded).  Bob will be remembered for his guidance, kind heart, and great sense of humor.   He is survived by his wife Susan, son’s William (Sherri) and Steven.   Memorial Donations in memory of Robert may be made to: Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517
