Robert Wallace Budd

Robert Wallace Budd, 89, of Novi, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2017 surrounded by family.  Beloved husband of Gladys Eglington Budd, dear father of Deborah Budd, Cynthia Uitti (Stan), Christopher Budd and Catherine Kerr (Thomas).  He will be remembered lovingly by his grandchildren: Elizabeth Muniz (Tony), Brian Battaglieri, Jennifer Battaglieri, Christine Budd, Kayla Budd, Benjamin Morin (Courtney), Megan Zelinski (Chad) and four great grandchildren:  Isabella, Luke, Elle and Drew.  Also, his much loved cat, Molly. Robert was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 23, 1928.  He graduated from Redford High School in Detroit. He joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves and was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal.  He married Gladys (Glad) Eglington on October 22, 1949. They were happily married for 68 years. Robert built two successful businesses in Southfield, Michigan: Budd Magnetic Products, Inc. and its subsidiary North Industries. He was in business for 54 years.  The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Robert Allen, will be held at 3:00 pm at Manns Family Funeral Home in Livonia, Michigan.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home the same day from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
