Richard Alan Osler

May 8, 1952 — June 5, 2023

Richard Alan Osler, known to his friends as OZ, a man who lived life with a contagious sense of humor, bid us farewell on June 5th, 2023. He leaves behind cherished memories, and unforgettable escapades. Richard, aged 71, found immense pleasure in his favorite pastimes, including golf and fishing.

Born on May 8th, 1952, Richard grew up surrounded by love and the warmth of family. He had a mischievous streak that followed him throughout his life, he had an infectious giggle and quick wit.

Richards life took him to the sun-soaked shores of Florida, where he embarked on many golfing and fishing trips. In an unforgettable encounter, he reeled in a hammerhead shark (it was a baby), while fishing the Florida shore line with his daughter Lisa. The memory of that exhilarating experience will forever be etched in their hearts, a testament to Richard's passion in life.

Richard loved coming to the family cottage. It became a sanctuary where Richard found solace and created cherished memories with loved ones. The laughter and stories shared on Williamsville Lake will forever echo in our hearts.
Golf was more than a game for Richard; it was a passion that brought him endless joy. He relished the friendly competition, the camaraderie of his fellow golfers, and the thrill of a well-played shot. With each swing of the club, Richard embraced the challenge, always seeking to improve his game while reveling in the simple pleasure of being on the course. The memories created with his golfing buddies will forever be cherished, a testament to the enduring friendships forged through their shared love of the game.
As we celebrate Richard's life, let us remember him as a harbinger of fun and a true lover of life. His spirit will forever reside in the memories of Williamsville Lake, the triumphant tale of the hammerhead shark, the laughter-filled trips, and the joyous rounds of golf. Richard's legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to experience his zest for life.

Richard is survived by his loving daughter Lisa Osler and sons Craig Osler and Scott Osler. His two grandchildren Chase and Steven Osler. Siblings Lori Carollo, Linda Spierling, and brother Kirk Osler as well as his many nieces and nephews.

In honor of Richard's love for golf, the family kindly requests that donations be made to First Tee at https://donorbox.org/ftwm-annual-fundraising, an organization dedicated to teaching the next generation the game of golf that he loved so much.

Richard Alan Osler, you will forever be in our memories, and your spirit will continue to inspire us to live life to the fullest. Rest well, dear Richard, knowing that your legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know you.
