Obituary

Phyllis Bruce, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law, passed away surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Bruce and the cherished daughter of the late Sam and Charlotte Turiciano. Phyllis lived a life that revolved around family. She was a proud and loving mother to her children: Anthony, Teri, Dino, and Cara. The proud mother-in-law to Mary Bruce and Mark White. Her greatest joy was her role as grandmother to Anthony, Cristiana, Dominic, Jillian, Griffin, and Caroline. She enriched their lives with her warmth, support, laughter and love. Together with her husband Kenneth, she was a constant presence at her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. You could always count on them cheering enthusiastically from the stands at baseball, hockey, basketball, tennis, and lacrosse games, or lining the finish line at track and cross-country meets. She was always willing to “baby-sit” or assist anyone in need, whether family, friend or stranger - always placing the needs of others before her own.

Phyllis had a deep love for the holidays, where her cooking skills shone as she prepared festive meals for family gatherings. She also cherished summer vacations in Tennessee, where she and Kenneth owned Gatlinburg Homemade Ice Cream. She treasured quiet mornings on the beaches of Boca Raton — lying in the sun, swimming, deep-sea fishing, and collecting seashells during early beach walks.

Her strength, kindness, and profound love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
