Mary Ellen Kutschke

Mary Ellen Kutschke, 74, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, passed away on July 24, 2025. She was born in Detroit on August 13, 1950 to Stephen and Helen Hysick. She graduated from St. Abrose High School in 1968 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Detroit Mercy in 1972.

On September 24, 1974, Mary Ellen married Michael Kuschke; they were married for almost 51 years.

She was a Mathematician who worked as a tutor. She enjoyed camping, reading, knitting and cooking.

Mary Ellen is survived by her husband, Michael; son, Matthew; daughter, Mary Beth; brother, Stephen Hysick.

Visitation for Mary Ellen will be held Wednesday, July 30th from 3:00 – 8:00PM with a Parastas Service at 6:30PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154.

Funeral Liturgy will be held Thursday, July 31st at 10:00AM. Mary Ellen will be In-State for final visiting at 9:30AM at Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic Church, 29125 Six Mile, Livonia 48152.
