Marilyn R. "Nee Foster" Nairne

MARILYN was 82 years of age at the time of her sudden passing, at home, in Livonia. She will be greatly missed by many friends and neighbors. Marilyn is the beloved wife of the late Chester, and loving friend of the late Ziggy Zedan. She is the dear mother of Chester V. "Skip"(Susan), and treasured "Aunty M" of Cristine and Janet. Marilyn enjoyed being a loving Grandmother to Megan, Laura, Scott, Stephanie (Vince), Jody, and Kevin; and the proud Great-Grandmother of Brienna, Victoria, Veronica, Corey, Anthony, and Conrad. She made a living selling products at fairs and home shows. But her service to her country and all levels of government, was remarkable! She was heavily involved in the local Democratic Party, and gave countless hours to managing local, county and national election efforts, from 1960-1980. Cancer came and she beat it! Marilyn went on to be more involved with her family and friends; she could always be counted on for advice or to lend a hand. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 4th from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. With Services on Tuesday morning, at 11 am. Rev. Dr. Steven B. Schafer will officiate. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, you consider honoring Marilyn's life with a memorial contribution to the Michigan Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
