Marie Mattiello

Marie Cesira Mattiello, 93, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 13, 2013.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Antonio Mattiello; her parents John and Marie Mattiello; siblings Margaret, Eleanor and John and two beloved grandchildren Angela and Nikolaus Mattiello.

She was a long time member of St. Priscilla’s Parish and sang for many years in the choir.  Marie was an avid bowler, loved to play bingo and spent many hours doing crossword puzzles.  She made all her children’s clothes, cooked three meals a day and could fix any broken appliance with ease.  After her children were grown, she perfected her knitting skills and put prayers into every perfect stitch.

She is the dear mother of Wanda (Ron) George, Mary Ann Mattiello (Chris Page), Anthony Mattiello, Lucia (George) Cutshaw and Marco Mattiello (Debbie Mattiello).  Devoted to her grandchildren; Rhonda, Ron, Russ, Emilia, Madison, Annie Sue, Chelsea and four great-grandchildren.

Everyone that met Marie was instantly greeted with her terrific smile and a homemade meal.  She left a legacy of love, peacefulness and a complete joy of nature.
