June P. Nowak, 96, of Redford, MI, passed away on March 9, 2022. She was born in Detroit on August 9, 1925, the eldest of 9 children born to Phillip and Mary (nee. Tvrzicky) Heilman.
June graduated from Redford Union High School in 1944 and she married Stanley A. Nowak on February 9, 1945; they were married 59 years.
June worked as a Telephone Operator for Michigan Bell, starting right after high school and retiring after 30 years of service.
June is survived by her daughter-in-law, Barb Nowak; three grandchildren, Steve (Elizabeth) Nowak, Tom Nowak, and Sherry (Gary) Blake; three great-grandchildren, Henry, Cory, and Zachary; brothers, Phil, Don, and Perry; sisters Mae and Helen, and many nephews and nieces.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley A. Nowak in 2004, and only child, Allen Nowak in 2017, and brothers Norm and Dick, and sister Fran (Jim) Edwards.
Visitation for June will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia, 48154.
June will be In-State for final viewing on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Clarenceville United Methodist Church, 20300 Middlebelt, Livonia, 48152.
