Joann "Rucinski" Nyeste

Joann Nyeste 83 of Livonia, MI passed away on January 18, 2018. Joann Rucinski-Nyeste was born in Detroit, MI on September 12, 1934. She graduated from Fordson High School. Joann married Joseph Nyeste on May 15, 1954. They were married for almost 34 years, until Joseph passed in 1988 with Prostate cancer. She never married again. She worked as an elementary school lunchroom cashier for the Clarenceville School District at Grandview Elementary for many years until her retirement. She loved gardening and was a member of the Wings group at St. Priscilla until her Dementia made it difficult for her to participate any more. She is survived by her children: Janine Lewandowski, Michael Nyeste, and Lisa Loftus. Grandchildren: Jeffrey Lewandowski, Joshua Nyeste, Anna Loftus-Schlaff, Joseph Nyeste, Katie Loftus-Tabbert and Shea Nyeste-Mattson. Great Grandchildren: Anya Nyeste, Daniel Schlaff, Audrey Schlaff, Madilyn May Tabbert & Michael Joseph Nyeste. Sisters: Mary Ann Statetzny, Sally Marchak & Rosalie Lerini Nieces & Nephews: Linda Statetzny-Rogers, Lori Statetzny, Alan Statetzny & Todd Statetzny. Maria Marchak-Green, Michael Marchak, Tanya Marchak-Everett, Brandon Delaney, Tina BeckerNelson, Annie Becker-Stasek, Barbie Becker, Beth Nyeste-Patrick, George Nyeste, Cori Nyeste-Jones. Joann is preceded in death by Joseph, her husband, her brother Frank, Jr, and her mother & father, Florence & Frank Rucinski Sr. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to CorporSano Home Health & Hospice in Plymouth, MI We the family of Joann Nyeste wishes to thank all of you for your kindness & prayers. Visitation for Joann will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2:00 - 7:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154. Joann will be In-State for Final Viewing on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 9:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Priscilla Catholic Church, 19120 Purlingbrook, Livonia 48152.
