Joan Adell Lyons (Makarewicz)

Joan Adell Lyons, age 71, of Livonia passed away on February 15, 2023.

Joan was the beloved wife of William "Bill" for 51 years. Loving mother of Bree (Bill) Van Erp and Bill (Becky) Lyons. Proud Grandma to Tyler, Sydney and Enzo. Cherished daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Makarewicz. Dearest sister of AlJ (Patti), Alan (Nancy), Art, Toby and the late Walter. Adored daughter-in-law of the late Jeanne and William Lyons, as well as sister-in-law to Carol (Jim), Ray (Judith), Mary (Bill), the late Sandi (Charles), and Patrick. Treasured aunt of many nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

Joan worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield and Electronic Data Systems for the majority of her career where she met many lifelong friends. She loved to play cards and board games, but her true love was family and friends. Fiercely loyal and generous, her passion was making others happy. Her thoughtful gifts, cooking, baking and love will be lasting memories for everyone.

Visitation for Joan will be held Tuesday, February 21st from 2:00 - 8:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 22nd at 11:00 AM with final visiting at 10:00 AM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt (south of Six Mile), Livonia 48154
