Jeffrey Henry Masheff

October 10, 1955 — November 22, 2021

Jeffrey Masheff (Jeff), 66 of Livonia, MI passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021

Jeff was born in Highland Park on October 10, 1955 to Luben and Eleanor Masheff. He graduated from Bentley High School in 1975 and continued his education at Schoolcraft College for a few years.

Jeff married Lisa Rousseau on May 6, 1988. Shortly after, he adopted her son Bernard, completing their family while making memories that he took with him. After his divorce, Jeff found comfort with the new love of his life, Joann. They've traveled all over the country seeing things that Jeff had see in the past and wanted to share with Joann and to new places that they'll never forget.

Jeff enjoyed traveling anywhere he could. He's been to Canada, Mexico, Belize, Turkey, Africa and many other places. Jeff enjoyed everything that was "water". He loved swimming, SCUBA diving, boating, fishing, sunrises and sunsets and just sitting at the water's edge letting it lap at his feet as he looked at the water. Jeff also enjoyed bar-be-qing ribs as he drank a few Miller Lites as the meat cooked. He was always up for a gathering with his friends, whether it was at home, a friends or at the beach. Later in life, his son and granddaughter moved to North Pole, Alaska and he missed them quite a bit. He lit up like a light bulb whenever he got a letter, text, phone call or picture from them. Most of all he missed seeing them as Delilah grew up to the wonderful young lady she is today. Jeff also loved searching out total solar eclipses all over the world. He has traveled to Tennessee, Africa, Australia and Turkey to see them. Of course, Jeff traveled through the countries he went to making the solar eclipse just one of the reasons for his trips. Jeff also had a love for racing. NASCAR, top fuel drag racing and Indy were some of his favorites. If he couldn't be at the race, he'd be watching it on the television.

One thing all of us are going to miss is his laugh. Jeff could find humor in just about everything in his life be it good or bad. He was easy to talk to and a great friend to have. If you needed a friend or help moving, he'd be the first one there to help.

Jeff is survived by his mother Eleanor, brothers Michael and Douglas, son Bernard and granddaughter Delilah. He is preceded in death by his father, Luben
