JAMES was 89 years of age at the time of his death. A long time member of the Trowel Trades Union Local #1; James was a Superintendent of commercial construction bricklaying. He is the beloved husband of the late Doris, and dear friend of Betty Oswald. James will be missed by loving children: James (Beverly), Mike (Rose), and Tom (Valerie). He is the adored grandfather of Kim (Scott) Curtis, Kelli (Chris) Gravlin, Jill Thompson, Mike Thompson, Sarah and Carly Thompson; and the proud great grandfather of Sarah (Tim) Kidd, James, Trenton, Mara, Isabella, and Madison. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, November 19th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Services are Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. followed by burial at Glen Eden Memorial Park. James served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Air Force during World War II--specifically, the Rhineland Central European Campaign. As an Honorably Discharged veteran, James will receive the United States Air Force Honor Guard tribute at the cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org).
