James Russell Ford

Passed away at the age of 90 on February 7, 2012 in Livonia, MI. Beloved husband of the late Molly Ford. Loving father of Carole King (Alan Allphin), Sandra Ford (the late Chuck Huth) and James Ford (Caroline). Step-father of Suzanne and Glen (Paula) Roble. Proud grandfather of Leslie, Blake (Stacy), Adam, Michael, James and Catherine. Great- grandfather to Kaylee, Addisyn, Colton, and Serenity. Brother of Delphine Goodwin, Brother-in-law to Llani Ford. Dear uncle to Keith, Kim, Christopher, Julie, Elizabeth, Pamela, Paul and Colette. Great uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Jim proudly served as a Lt. Junior Grade in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He graduated from Wayne State University's College of Education in 1953. He served on the Dearborn School Board from 1950 to 1962. He was a longtime member of Forest Lake Country Club. Jim retired as a Broker with Weir, Manuel Realtors in Birmingham at the age of 85. Memorial service will be held Sunday, March 4, 2:00 pm at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 5631 N. Adams Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on behalf of James R.
