Irene Brostek

Irene Brostek, Born April 8, 1916, passed away peacefully June 10, 2011. Married to her beloved Alexander Brostek Jr. in 1937, he preceded her in death. Dear mother of Donald, loving grandmother of Jennifer Brostek Studwell. She will be greatly missed by great grandson Alex Studwell. Sister of Helen Blazic, John Rembo, Marian Kosinski and Julia Krzysik. Irene lived in Detroit and Livonia for most of her life, she was the cashier at Cody High School in the cafeteria. Later, she moved to Houston, Texas to be with her family until her passing. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17 from 3 until 8 pm with Rosary at 7 pm. Irene will be In State on Saturday the 18th at 9:30 am until time of Mass at 10:00 am at St. Priscilla Catholic Church, 19120 Purlingbrook. Burial will be at St. Hedwig Cemetery following the Mass. Family suggests memorials to Detroit Children's Hospital or Karmanos Cancer Institute. Please share a memory with the family.
