Harvey Thomas Harris

Harvey Thomas Harris, Jr, 79, of Northville, MI, passed away suddenly on October 15, 2019.   He was born in Danville, VA on October 7, 1940 to Betty and Harvey Harris. He graduated from John Marshall High School in Richmond, VA and received a PhD from MSU.   He is survived by his wife, Judy, of 57 years; sons Mark (Mindy), and Jeff; grandchildren, Avery, Austin, Abigail, Aiden, and Andrew; brother, Warren (Diane); nephews, Colin and Jeremy. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.   Harvey retired as a sergeant from the Detroit Police Department. He was a lifetime member of ASIS.   He was an active member of his church and enjoyed refinishing furniture, collecting old tools, playing cards, watching TV, and spending time with his family.   A memorial service will be held on Nov. 2 at St. Matthew’s UMC, 30900 Six Mile, Livonia, 48152. Visitation from 10 – 12 with service at Noon.   Memorial gifts can be given to St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church (General Fund)
