Gerald Bradley Whittaker

January 25, 1948 — October 18, 2018

Gerald "Jerry" Whittaker passed away October 18, 2018 at the age of 70.   Jerry was born in Detroit, Michigan to Harry J and Edna (Eichbacher) Whittaker and attended Redford HS and Henry Ford College. He worked as a sales engineer in the automotive industry, most recently with Siegel-Roberts, until retiring due to an illness.   His passions were golf, golf, more golf, the University of Michigan, and his Grandsons, Nicholas and Jacob. He has a particularly strong bond with the youngest of the seven grandchildren and spent every other weekend with them. He adored them and it showed. He is survived by his step daughter, Connie Przybysz, Son in law, Marty Przybysz, Grandchildren, Nicholas, Jacob, Zachary, Benjamin, Ian, Kate and Alexandra, 3 great grandchildren, his brothers Dwight J. and James H. Whittaker and 14 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers David and Lawrence and beloved sister, Mary Jo.   The family would like to thank his loving and kind neighbors, whom Jerry counted as dear friends, Ava & Bill, Norma, and Barb.   In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jerry’s name to the University of Michigan Transplant Center, for the Transplant Patient emergency fund, by going to leadersandbest.umich.edu, scrolling down to click on transplant and it will take you to the section you need.
