George Nicolau

George Nicolau, age 87, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021. George was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil on April 10, 1933. He proudly emigrated to the United States in 1969 with his family. Throughout his career, he worked for Ford Motor Company, Chrysler Corporation, and Volkswagen of America as a highly skilled Tool & Die Maker.

George is survived by his wife, Catharina Nicolau, who have been married for over 66 years. He is also survived by his son Jaime Nicolau and daughter Miriam Nicolau.

George was proud grandfather to Eric Nicolau, Emily Azevedo, Nicola Azevedo, Adam Nicolau, Christina Nicolau, and Zoe Nicolau, Brandon Hawes, Michelle Hawes, Nicholas Hawes, and Sara Hawes. He was also great grandfather to Enzo Azevedo, Luca Azevedo, Jace Hawes, Charlee Hawes, Eli Hawes, Luke Hawes, and Wyatt Hawes.

The visitation will be held Wednesday, March 03, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154.
