Gary Sharp

Gary Sharp, 69, of Redford MI passed away on January 18th 2020. He was born in Detroit MI on May 17th 1950 to Joanne and Cecil Sharp. He graduated from Redford High School and continued his studies at Lawrence Technological University.    Gary was married to Cathy Kennedy on September 15th 1979; they were married for 40 years.    Gary worked as purchasing agent, and owned two small businesses.   He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, camping, bonfires, home renovation, and spending time with friends and family. For many years he played in a band, he had a great love of music. Gary would never hesitate to lend a helping hand to everyone and anyone.   Gary is survived by his wife Cathy, daughter Staci (Andrew) Starck, two grandsons Robert and Jonathan, and other family and friends.   Gary is preceded in death by his mother Joanne Sharp, his father Cecil Sharp, and his beloved Nana, Antoinette Lewis.    Visitation for Gary will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154.   Memorial donations in memory of Gary may be made to The Michigan Humane Society or the Senior Alliance.
