Doris Ruth "Milz" Reiher

Doris Reiher, 95, of Livonia was released from this life on January 18, 2020.
Doris was born on November 18, 1924 to George and Esther Milz. She graduated from Commerce High School in Detroit in 1942 and quickly went to work as a comptometer operator at the Michigan Central Depot near downtown Detroit. She retired from the accounting department of the Chevrolet spring and bumper plant in 1980. Throughout her life she spent much of her time volunteering at her church.
She married Ralph Reiher on September 13, 1947. They were married 53 years, until his passing in 2001.
Doris is survived by two daughters: Barbara (Herb) Sperry and Janet Reiher; two granddaughters: Christina Sperry and Elizabeth (Bart) Bernhardt; and a brother, David (Margie) Milz; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by sister Lois (Robert) Rinnas, In-laws John (Judy) Reiher, Marion Goetsch, and Ellen (Art) Zeller.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 34567 W. Seven Mile Rd., Livonia, MI. Visitation is from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
Memorial donations in the memory of Doris Reiher may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church memorial fund.
