Doris Ellen "Mitchell" Marsh

Doris Ellen Marsh, "Aunt Doris", 93, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away on October 4, 2019.     Doris was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 21, 1926 to Walter Mitchell and Margaret Davidson.  At 18 years of age, she married Raymond Marsh on December 29, 1944; they were married 54 years at the time of Ray's death in 1999.  Doris is survived by her sister, Janet DiGiovanni (James), and many nieces and nephews.  Doris is preceded in death by her parents and her brother William Mitchell.     Aunt Doris was everyone's "Beloved Aunt Doris".  Uncle Ray and Aunt Doris may not have had any children of their own, but they had a major influence on all of their nieces and nephews, opening up their home and hearts to their combined families.   The family visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on November 2, 2019 at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 N. Haggerty Rd., Plymouth, MI  48170, with a Memorial Mass starting at 11:30 a.m.   Doris was an avid contributor to many local charities.  In lieu of flowers, it is recommended that you make donations to one of the following in her honor: Detroit Rescue Mission (www.drmm.org) Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. (www.vfw.org)
