Donna Jean Lithgow

Donna Jean Lithgow, age 74, of Garden City, Michigan, passed from this life on October 14th, 2023.

Donna was born in Elmhurst Illinois on July 13th 1949, to parents Walter and Betty Bailey.  The family moved to Detroit, Michigan when she was very young - and then to Livonia where Donna attended public school.  She graduated from Livonia Franklin High School in 1968.

Donna worked for many years at K-mart in Westland, MI

Donna enjoyed many interests and hobbies throughout her life.  She was passionate about the outdoors, nature, birds and other wildlife.  Like her father, Donna was an avid gardener.  Whether in her home or in her beautiful landscaping Donna could grow plants, flowers and vegetables like a professional.  Donna had a love of reading (Stephen King, James Paterson, Anne Rice) and watching old television shows (Gunsmoke, MASH, & holiday classics like Charlie Brown & The Grinch.) She was also very artistic, and enjoyed expressing her creativity through scrapbooking, collaging, and other unique personal projects.
 
Donna is survived by her children Curtis (Michelle), Ryan (Jeanine), Kevin, and Wendy (Bill), as well as her sister Deborah Mattern (Kevin), and her niece Kimberly (Rose).  Donna was proud of and adored her 8 grandchildren Hali, Andrew, Nathan, Nadia, Rebecca, Sydney, Natalie, and Nora. 

Donna is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Betty Bailey.

The visitation will be held on October 17th 2023, 11:00am - 2:30pm at Mann's Funeral Home with a brief memorial service from 2:30pm - 3:00pm.

Memorial donations in memory of Donna may be made to the American Lung Association.
