DONALD was 95 years of age at the time of his death. He was born in Detroit and served in World War II as a U.S. Navy Electrician's Mate. His duty ships took him to the European-African-Middle Eastern and Asiatic-Pacific theatres, and included the USS KEARNY and the USS OGLETHORPE.
A Livonia resident for more than 50 years, Donald had a long and satisfying career as a Manufacturer's Rep in Electrical Sales.
Don is the beloved husband of the late Reba, and the late Ruth.
Even in his final days, Don encouraged his family to live happy lives. He is the dear father of David (Irene), Linda (Barry) Cyburt, Paul (Dawn), and Mark (Cindy).
Don is the adored grandfather of 9.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 13th from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Services will take place at 11 AM on Monday morning, at the funeral home. A U.S. Navy Honor Guard will conduct a flag presentation ceremony.
