Diego David Somershoe, 19, of Livonia, MI, passed away on March 20th, 2026.

Diego was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, where he lived with his foster family while his adoption by David and Melissa Somershoe was finalized at 10.5 months old. He graduated from Livonia Stevenson High School, and was attending Schoolcraft College at the time of his death.

Diego played soccer, football and wrestled while growing up, and was well loved by his family and many friends. He loved working out at the gym, video games, driving, sharing music, fishing, and trips to warm places. He planned to transfer to MSU and then move to Florida after graduation.

Diego is preceded in death by his grandmother Marilyn (Hiller) Lemmen.

Diego is survived by his parents David and Melissa (Lemmen) Somershoe, his grandparents Alan and Judy (Dierauer) Somershoe and Michael Lemmen, and many other friends and family who loved him.

Visitation for Diego's memorial will be from 1-6pm on Saturday, March 28th at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt Road, Livonia, MI 48154.
