Daniel Paul Halling, II

Daniel Paul Halling, II, age 88, of Novi, Michigan passed away on September 13, 2023.

Dan was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 26, 1934 to Daniel and Mary Halling.  Dan graduated from St. Leo High School as a star basketball player.  He continued playing basketball as a student at the University of Detroit where he earned a Bachelor’s degree.

Dan married his wife, Toni, on May 5, 1989.  They were married for 33 years.

Dan worked in the food industry for many years and was the owner of the Halling Company until his retirement in 2010.  Dan was an excellent golfer and enjoyed sitting in the sun especially by the water. Everyone who knew Dan has a memory of him that makes them smile.

Dan is survived by his wife, Toni and children MaryJo (Jon) Hahn, Daniel III (Jill) Halling, Thomas Halling, Patricia Halling, Aimee (Angelo) Popofski, eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  Dan was preceded in death by his two sons, James Halling and Terrence Halling.

The visitation will be held at the Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt Rd., Livonia from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 19.  The funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 20, at St. James Catholic Church, 46325 W. Ten Mile Rd, Novi with visitation at 10:00 am and service at 10:30 am.  From there the funeral will process to the Glen Eden Memorial Park Chapel, 35667 Eight Mile Rd., Livonia where Dan will be laid to rest.
