Charles R. Main passed away May 3, 2022 at the age of 81. He was born May 23, 1940 to Andrew and Isabelle (nee. Dunn) in Glasgow, Scotland. Charles graduated from Cody High School in Detroit.
Charles married Virginia (nee. Harleton) on November 3, 1962; they were married for 59 ½ years. They had three children, Ronald, Michael, and Lynda.
He retired from Comerica Bank where he was a Mortgage Loan Officer. He was actively involved in Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, helping out wherever he was needed. He also enjoyed wood carving, painting, camping and spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his wife, Virginia; children, Ronald (Cara), Michael (Lisa), and Lynda (Jeff); grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Andrew, Amanda, Jessica, Dylan, Tyler, Cecelia, and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Amelia, Abraham, Nora, Noah, Bentley, Kenzley, Elliott, and Bellamy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Isabelle, and brother, James M.
Visitation for Charles will be held Thursday, May 5th from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 14175 Farmington, Livonia 48154.
Interment will take place at 2:30 pm at Glen Eden Memorial Park, 35667 Eight Mile, Livonia 48152.
