Obituary

Chad David Reeves, 49, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away on October 10, 2026.

Born on September 1, 1977, in Wayne, Michigan, Chad was the son of David Gerald and Connie Sue (Hines) Reeves. He graduated from Wayne Memorial High School.

On June 29, 2001, Chad married the love of his life, Adrienne “Katie” Burke. Together, they shared 25 years of marriage and built a life filled with love, family, and treasured memories. Their greatest blessings were their two children, Chad David Jr. and Audrey Kathleen, who meant the world to him.

Chad worked as a bindery operator for Valassis for more than 20 years, dedicating himself to his work and providing for his family.

Above all, Chad cherished time spent with his family. He loved the great outdoors, especially fishing, and treasured the memories made during their time together. Whether he was firing up the grill, cooking a favorite meal, or gathering everyone around the table, Chad found happiness in bringing his loved ones together. A devoted football fan, he also had a lifelong passion for classic cars and building race cars. These interests brought him great joy and reflected the things he loved most about life.

Chad will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Katie; his children, Chad Jr. (Megan) and Audrey (Deshun); his mother, Connie; his brother, Derek (Amy); his father-in-law, Tim Burke; seven nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; and many dear friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Gerald Reeves; his mother-in-law, Donna Sandor; his father-in-law, Wallace Klein; and his sister-in-law Stephanie Reeves.

Chad’s love for his family, his passion for the things he enjoyed, and the memories he created with those closest to him will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Memorial arrangements will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Chad’s memory to make a donation to a charity of their choice.
