Carl Richard Nelson

CARL  was 68 years at the time of his death on Sunday, the Lord's Day, October 12th. He is the  beloved husband of Monica.

"No friend on earth like thee, we find," describes the kind of father Carl has been to his children: Colleen (Robert) Soop, and Brian (Cheryl) Nelson.

He is the loving grandfather of Robbie, Jacob, Megan, Kyle, and Carley.

Carl is also survived by his siblings:  Alice Roff, Scott (Donna) Nelson; he was preceded in death by David Nelson and Sharon Schnapal.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 14th from 2-8 PM with a Rosary prayed at 7 PM.

Carl's body will be In State for final visiting on Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM until the time of Mass, 10 a.m., at St. Priscilla Catholic Church, 19120 Purlingbrook Road in Livonia. The Mass will be followed by a U.S. Navy Honor Guard Service with Taps and a flag presentation.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or to the American Lung Association, and envelopes are available at the funeral home.
