Calvin Merritt Leavy

Calvin Merritt Leavy passed away March 31, 2019 at the age of 83.   Cal worked for Michigan Bell and AT&T for his entire career. He enjoyed his retirement for 28 years and was the treasurer or the Palm Resaca Retirement Community. Calvin was active in his Church Choirs and the musicals at Palm Resaca Park.   Calvin is survived by Sandra Leavy, his wife, and children David (Carolyn), Karen (Chris), and Kathleen. He is survived by ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren Calvin, Harry (fiancé Megan, child Ryan Olivia) Mark, Jacey (Beck), Nicholas (Cristin and child Damien), Wade (Melanie and children Micah and Avery), Noah, Aaron, Matthew, and Madeline. Cal is survived by his brother Marvin Leavy.   A memorial service will be held in Cadillac, MI on April 13, 2019. The service will at 10:30 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Cadillac, MI.   Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted in memory of Calvin Leavy and may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org
