Barbara Marie Allegrina

Barbara passed away suddenly on August 5th, 2012 at the age of 52. Beloved daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Allegrina. Survived by loving fiancAC. Seyed Hadi. Beloved sister of Tom, Paul, Christine, Suzanne (John), Margaret, Stephen and the late Chuck Allegrina. Loving aunt and great-aunt of Michael (Emily), Alexander, Tara, Nicholas, Dean, William, Cameron and Tyler. Also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins. She had a degree in chemistry from Madonna University and obtained a Masters in chemistry from Wayne State University. She was employed by Caretech, LLC as an IT Security Specialist at the DMC. An ardent recreationalist, Barbara was a longtime YMCA member. She enjoyed swimming, tennis, bicycling, yoga and exercise. She was also a lover of the outdoors and was active in environmental causes. She enjoyed traveling and exploring new places. Barbara was a Gift of Life donor. Donations in Barbara's name may be made to the YMCA and the American Red Cross. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8th, from 5:00 until 9:00 PM. Service for Barbara will be on Thursday, August 9th, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
