Ann Marie Donoghue (Boucher)

September 27, 1929 — April 19, 2021

Ann Marie (Annie) Donoghue of Novi, MI passed away peacefully on April 19, 2021. She was born in Detroit, MI on September 27, 1929 to Irene and Benjamin Boucher. Annie was the eldest of seven children.

Ann graduated from Redford High School in 1947 and was married to Bill Donoghue on August 27, 1949. Annie and Bill were married for 59 years. She was a loving Mother, homemaker and was very busy raising her family of seven children. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, knitting, playing cards and doing Jigsaw Puzzles. Ann touched many people through her thoughtful hand written notes. She was a volunteer worker at St. Mary's Hospital for 10 years. Faith and family were the most important things to Annie.

Annie is survived by her brother Steve (Kathy) Boucher, her sister in-law Elaine Igelski, her brother-in-law Don Robertson and her children Cindy (Don) Parsons, Dr. Mike (Mary) Donoghue, Nancy (Phil) Ellerby, Maureen Donoghue, Greg (Patsy) Donoghue, Peggy (Jim) Elder and Jeannine (Howie) Thompson. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; Kellie, Christopher, Annemarie, Katlyn, Kelsey, Holly, Ryan, Katie Rose, Chelsea and Marcy and her great grandchildren Jacen and Derek along with her many nieces and nephews.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband Bill; her sisters, Maddie, Fran, Bobbi, and Dorrie; her brother David.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23rd from 2:00 - 8:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154. A Rosary Service will be held at 3:30 PM and a Time of Sharing will be held at 6:30 PM.

Ann will be In-State at 10:30 AM, with a closed casket, prior to the Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 24th at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Dr, Northville 48167 .

Memorial donations in memory of Ann Donoghue can be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Angela Hospice.
