Andrew “Andy” John George, 72, of Livonia, Michigan passed away on September 12, 2023.


He was born in Detroit on May 12, 1951 to Alex and Mary George. He graduated from Bentley High School in 1969.


Andy was married to Lori Fitzgerald on December 15, 1979; they were married 43 years.


Andy was a multi-talented automotive, motorcycle, and vintage scooter mechanic. He was a savant of classic corvettes and collectible motorcycles. He was also skilled with building restoration, both commercial and residential. He was a Real Estate Broker and partner with Abro Realty Company and the Nationwide Group Realtors.


He enjoyed tennis, golf, pickle ball, boating and bicycling. He and his family enjoyed 39 years of summering in Northern Michigan at a rustic lakeside 40’s cabin. Andy had a robust social life with many long-term friendships. He was generous with his skills and always willing to support a friend in need.


Andy is survived by his wife, Lori; children, Emily George (Richie Lisowski) and Tim (Alaina); grandson, Andrew.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Mary George, and sister Helen George.


The family will have a private graveside service.


Extended family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Service for Andy on Wednesday, September 20th from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at One Under, 35780 Five Mile, Livonia 48154.
