Alberta "Quinn" Boyle

Alberta Boyle was born April 5, 1919 to Archie Charles and Henrietta Quinn (Wade) in Dereham, Ontario. She was the oldest of three sisters. The family moved to Detroit, Michigan in the 1920’s where she attended school. Alberta married Calvert Clarence Boyle (deceased) on October 29, 1938. She became a naturalized citizen of the United States on April 27, 1944. They had three children, Ann Marie (deceased), Michael Francis and Timothy Calvert. Alberta and Calvert enjoyed traveling, which included extensive travel throughout the United States and Canada, as well as England and other countries in Europe. She lived in Michigan, Florida and North Carolina. In her younger years, she enjoyed speed skating, detailing and finishing ceramics, snow skiing and golf. Alberta passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the age of 97. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Regency at Bluffs Park in Ann Arbor for their attention and care she received for the last three years. She is survived by sons Michael (Marlene), Timothy (Judith), son in law Stephen, sisters Jean and Margaret, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154.
